Privacy

SportsMgnt is a demonstration site operated by WeldonPC, an IT services and web development business in Ohio, United States. This page lists exactly what the demo stores.

What the demo stores

Walkthrough requests
The name, organisation, email, role, message, preferred contact method and language you enter, plus a salted hash of your network address and your browser's user-agent text. WeldonPC uses them only to reply. They are not deleted by the nightly reset; ask through the same form to have yours deleted.
Demo sign-ups and uploads
Accounts you create, households, registrations and any files you upload are deleted at the nightly reset. The demo never delivers email or text messages, so you do not need a real address: account messages (sign-up, password and username links) appear only in your own Demo Outbox. Other visitors using the demo staff personas can see the households and registrations you create, so please do not enter real personal details or upload real documents.
Help Assistant questions
The text of questions typed into the Help Assistant, without your name or account, so unanswered questions can be improved. Email addresses and long numbers are removed before saving. Demo staff personas can read the saved questions on a review page, so please do not type personal details. They are deleted at the nightly reset.
Rate limits
Salted hashes of network addresses, used to limit sign-ins, demo logins, form posts and API calls.
Server logs
The web server keeps standard access logs (address, time, page, browser) for operating and securing the server.

What the demo does not do

  • No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no requests to other websites.
  • No real payments and no card numbers.
  • No email or text messages to the public; demo messages stay in the Demo Outbox.

Cookies

Only these: the session cookie (sign-in and form protection), smg_lang (language), smg_theme (colour theme) and, during a simulated high-demand opening, a waiting-room ticket.
